Early times Report

Mendhar, Oct 7: On one hand government claims that it is trying best to bring transparency in each sector but on other, the Chief Medical Officer Poonch has allegedly bungled in recruitment of National Rural Health Mission.
Reports said that around 50 people assembled at Shaheedi Yadgar Mendhar and staged protest demonstration against the CMO Mumtaz Bhatti.
The protesters alleged that CMO dumped deserving candidates whose merit are high and appointed those whose merit is low and has appointed blue eyed candidate at the post of Adult Counselor at Sub District Hospital Mendhar without advertisement of selection list. They further said that the department had advertised two posts of Adult Counselor under National Rural Health Mission. At least six candidates were shortlisted for interview but unfortunately, without declaration of selection list CMO had appointed blue eyed candidates.
They further alleged that CMO Mumtaz Bhatti and Deputy Commissioner takes lacs of rupees for each appointment and dump deserving candidates.
"In an hush hush manner, CMO called the appointees and asked them to join without any delay", they said, adding that same case was reported in appointment of FMHW in which the officer once shortlisted the deserving candidate for interview but after few days the list was changed in which the candidate with low merit were invited for interview and the deserving candidate of first list was dumped.
Protester also submitted a memorandum regarding bungling in recruitment of NRHM to Sub District Magistrate Mendhar Sher Singh and also sent a copy at to Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, Health Minister, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Deputy Commissioner Poonch. Protester demanded cancelation of appointment, immediate transfer of CMO, lodge an FIR and also initiate SVO inquiry of NRHM recruitment of Poonch district.
