Mata Vankhandi Devi Chhari Yatra to begin Oct 13

JAMMU, Oct 7: To highlight the vision and objective, Mata Vankhandi Devi Public Charitable Trust (MVDPCT) held a press conference at its office. The trust is looking after the holy temple of Mata Vankhandi Devi situated at Mahanpur, a place where Mata Sita descended into mother Earth. Speaking on the occasion Kulbhushan Mahotra, General Secretary, MVDPCT, informed media persons that the trust is going to organize first Chhadi Yatra on the eve of first Navratra on 13th of October. He also threw light on the historic importance of holy place for Hindu Community as well as the society. According to him Mata Vankhandi is popularly known as Prodare wali Mata in the region. Every year number of devotees visit this holy place for obeisance especially during Navratras. This place was developed by Mahant Bhagwan Dass who came here 25 years back after that he constituted the trust in the year 1999 and got registered in the year 2006 and from that time the trust was working for the betterment of the society.
For this purpose trust was working on various projects such as Sanskar Yukt Nishulk Vidyalaya, Computer Education, Kaushal Vikas Kendra (ITI), Engineering College, Medical College, Vanprastha Ashram, Gau Mata Kripa Kendra, Shri Ram Rajya Prasar Kendra and Saksham Gram Viaks Kendra. He also informed that information about Trust was available for devotees at www.matavankhandidevi.org.
Others who were present on the occasion included Baldev Singh, Jyotish Guru Shiv Rana, Ankush Bhardwaj, Paramjeet Dubey, Jagdish Chander and Uttam Singh.
