Abducted girl recovered from Jammu, abductor escapes | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Nov 17: Manjakot police have recovered the kidnapped girl from Jammu on Monday, while the abductor managed a slip. Police have launched a massive manhunt to nab the absconding abductor. The kidnapper has been identified as Kashift Hussain s/o Mohd Sharief Gujjar of Pangrai under the jurisdiction of Police Station Mahjakote of Rajouri district. Police sources said that the minor (17) girl was kidnapped by a married man of the same village and reportedly had taken the girl to Hydrabad and later to New Delhi. Police spokesperson said, "On November 14, one Abdul Hussain S/O Haji Misri of Panjgrai, Manjakote, lodged a written report with Police Station Manjakote alleging therein that his daughter (name withheld) has gone missing from his house on November 07. "Complainant further has alleged that one Kashifat Hussain s/o Mohd Sharief of Naika Panjgrai, Manjakote has kidnapped his minor daughter, police said quoting complainant. "Accordingly police registered a case under FIR No.76/2015 u/s 363 RPC at Police Station Manjakote, and started investigations in this regard. "During the course of investigation, a series of raids were carried out at different suspected locations in Manjakote area but all turned futile, police said adding, "however acting on a specific information about the movement of abductor from reliable source, Manjakote police party rushed to Jammu and recovered the girl on November 16 while abductor managed an escape." He said after medical examination, and other legal formalities the girl was handed over to the parents while massive hunt is on to nab the abductor" police spokesperson added. |
