People irked over unscheduled power cut in Bhaderwah 11/17/2015 11:18:48 PM Early Times Report Doda, Nov 17: The Power Development Department has added to the problems of the people here by resorting to scheduled and unscheduled power cuts in whole Bhaderwah town and adjoining areas. Not only in non-metered areas, but residents in metered localities are also bearing the brunt and spending most of their time without power supply. People are facing ten and eleven -hour-long curtailment in intervals throughout the day. Although consumers expect enhanced supply of electricity in winter months, yet the PDD is not coming up to their expectations and demands. "Every year we are assured of better power supply but the situation instead worsens," said Mohd Iqbal Balwan president Doda Welfare society "We have been barely getting few hours of power supply per day. They (authorities) resort to power cuts as per their own wishes in our locality,alleged Shaid Hussain Najar of Bhaderwah. The unscheduled power cuts have made each and every section of society in these parts of Chenab Valley suffer. However, the students are more worried as their studies are getting badly affected with the frequent and unscheduled power cuts. Meanwhile deputation of Civil society Bhaderwah called upon SDM Bhaderwah Mohd Anwar Banday and apprised him of the various problems due to unscheduled power cuts including difficulty to students whose exams are going on.
