Medical Staff call off strike | | | Early Times Report bhaderwah, Nov 17:Sub District Hospital ,Bhaderwah medicos who were on strike from last two days called off the strike today after the local administration was agreed to fulfill their demands. The doctors and paramedical staff were on strike to mark their protest against the manhandling with their colleague by some chemist two day back. speaking on the occasion protesters said that "We have called off the strike after getting the copy of FIR and assurance by the local administration that security will be reviewed and security in charge will be available in the hospital round the clock. While addressing the media persons, BMO, Dr Yudvir Kotwal said that 'We don't want to go on strike but administration forced us to take this step as administration not registered a FIR under section 307. Raiz Ahmed Najar, President Medical Employees Federation, demanded cancellation of license of the owner of chemist shop who attacked Dr Mudasir Iqbal. Speaking on the occasion Dr Irshad Malik said that 'we hailed the positive response of the administration and called off the strike today |
