Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 17: Forcibly retired as deadwood by the previous government, the outgoing, MD JKSRTC, J S Tandon, during his probation period, had released annual increments in his own favour for three years under his stamp and seal. Official documents available with Early Times divulge that to get undue benefits, the "tainted" former Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) had drained the state exchequer. "Whereas J S Tandon filed a writ petition being SWP number 2032/98 in High-Court titled J S Tandon v/s Chairman JKSRTC and others. Whereas the High Court disposed of the writ petition with the directions to the respondents to treat his writ petition ass representation and pass appropriate orders", order number 103 JKSRTC/JMD/2005 the documents divulged. "Whereas in compliance to the High Court orders the petition of J S Tandon was duly considered and having found no merit it was disposed of vide order under endorsement No JKSRTC/MD/C/129-A dated 20-01-1999", the documents read, adding that whereas J S Tandon again filed a writ petition being SWP No 760/99 in the High Court titled JS Tandon v/s chairman JKSRTC and Managing director. "Whereas in compliance to the High Court directions the claims of JS Tandon have been duly considered. Tandon was appointed as Works Manager vide order number JKSTRC/MD87-88/625 dated 22-08-1987 on probation for one year", the documents read. Terminated from service by late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led state government in 2015, Tandon apart from filling cases in the court, had fraudulently got monetary benefits by allegedly looting the state exchequer. "Tandon released annual increments in his favour for three consecutive years under his own signatures without regularization of his probationary period. Moreover, he had not got the requisite experience of five years as prescribed under rules in 1991 to become eligible for promotion to the post of Deputy General Manager", documents revealed. |
