Ramban, Jan 30: After the lapse of one month the DNA test report of deceased persons of Dalwas Chanderkote fire incident is still awaited which has led to resentment brewing among the bereaved families who have lost their kin in the horrifying incident on late night Dec 31 last year. According to an eyewitness, the graves of the nine persons of the said fire incident who are buried at Kowh Bagh area of district Ramban under the custody of district administration now has sunken from the middle due to the recent rainfall and irony of the picture is that buried bodies are easily visible by the passerby. "Not only this, the grave is emitting foul smell, courtesy neglect from the district administration, they said. The eyewitness also immediately circulated the pictures on social networking sites and in no times it gets viral on different sites following which a team from the concerned private company rushed to spot and covered the said area with a polythene sheet (Tripal) to avoid further water leakage inside the grave, eyewitness regretted. Meanwhile talking to Early Times District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar said that the DNA reports will still take some more time, as the administration is in constant touch with the forensic laboratory for the said DNA report. DDC Ramban also added that the department has initiated the magisterial enquiry headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban to ascertain the reason behind the fire incident. "After the completion of the said enquiry whosoever is proved culprit will face the legal action, he said. "The administration will maintain the graves besides keeping a close watch on it so that it may not sink till the DNA report is received" he said. Pertinent to mention here the fire incident took place on the late night of Dec 31, 2015 in which ten persons burned alive whereas four other got injured. The deceased were mostly labourers, drivers or security guards working at the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel and the employees of Savronik System India and Beig Construction Company (BCC) entrusted with the excavation work. |
