JAMMU, Feb 1 : Four police-public meets were held today at different places in Reasi district to strengthen police-public relations for prevention and detection of crime and solve the problems of general public. The first public meeting held at Ransoo near Pouni by SI Ranjeet Singh, SHO of Ransoo police station, under the supervision of DSP (hqr, Reasi) Mohan Lal and Sanjay Singh Rana, additional SP, Reasi. The second meeting was held at Sool near Katra by Sumir Kotwal, additional SP, Katra, along with in charge of police post, Kakryal. The third meeting was held at Police Station, Bhawan, by its SHO, Inspector Rajesh Sharma under the supervision of Munish Kumar, DSP, Bhawan, and ASP Sumir Kotwal. Shopkeepers of Bhawan also participated in the meeting. The fourth meeting was held at Sailanjan near Reasi by SI Gurvinder Singh, in charge of Talwara police post, under the supervision of ASP, Reasi, Sanjay Singh Rana. All these meetings were attended by a large number of respectable persons of these areas. At the outset of these meetings, the participants were welcomed by the chairing police officers and appreciated for sparing their valuable time to attend these meetings. They were requested to put forth their genuine problems. Various public issues and problems raised by the participants were discussed in these meetings. The grievances of all the participants were heard patiently and they were assured that their genuine demands would be communicated to the concerned senior officers for redressal. |
