AVBP demands to settle issue of M.Phil aspirants | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 1: ABVP Scholar's convener Jammu University Lokinder Singh demanded to settle the issue of M.Phil aspirants of Jammu University who had applied for the exam in University of Jammu. In a statement issued here, Lokinder Singh said that various M.Phil aspirants of around 8 departments who had given the entrance exam of M.Phil last year in the month of August are still in a situation of Chaos and uncertainty as yet they are not given the admission in MPhil in their respective Departments of University of Jammu. He added that he met the Dean Research Prof. Jigar Mohammad and demanded to show urgency as these aggrieved students are facing lot of trouble. He said that the precious and valuable time of these students is getting wasted as their session has been delayed much. He added that a meeting too was convened by Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu today pertaining to this issue and has got assurance from Dean Research that most probably within a week's time the issue will be sorted out and the students will be given admission as per the norms of University of Jammu. He however hoped positively from the assurance and said that the approach of any educational institution should be student centric and the grievances of students must be sorted with prime importance and only then any educational institute will excel and flourish with positivity. But apart from that, he further added that there have been certain instances off late where student centric approach has been lacked on behalf of University of Jammu and has become the cause of distress and frustration among students. |
