Irregular supply of CAPD ration irks Panjthirthi locals | | | Jammu, Feb 2: Alleging mismanagement of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department which could be well gauged from distributing ration particularly sugar and flour after gap of 80 to 90 days, residents of Panjthirthi locality of winter capital said the irregular supply of ration is causing huge inconvenience to the common masses. Agitated locals told Early Times that the sugar due from October 2015 was delivered to ration card holders this January and similarly flour was distributed after 3 months reasons better known to the officials at the helms of affairs. Locals also alleged that ration allocated to area is being diverted to other areas to appease a particular section of society under the influence of bureaucracy. "The agonizing situation has cropped up after the Darbar Move in winter capital, they said while alleging that the ration distribution by the CAPD is being done on the direction of politician to just appease some people. |
