Hurriyat leader forgets 'struggle', holidays in Goa | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 6: Ahead of anniversaries of Afzal Guru and Mohammadd Maqbool Bhat, Kashmir's self-acclaimed separatist leader, who heads one faction of Hurriyat conference, is currently holidaying in Goa. Goa-is a state in western India with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea and a famous tourist destination of the country. Highly placed sources told Early Times on Saturday that the separatist leader has moved from Delhi to Goa a week ago and is currently staying in of the best hotels there. They said that separatist leader was in Delhi to get travel documents for Dubai trip; however New Delhi's refusal of providing the same forced the self acclaimed leader to change his program. Separatist leader and his close associates were lobbying in New Delhi for obtaining travel documents for quite some time but Foreign Affairs Ministry spoiled the game as reportedly didn't allowed the Separatist leader to travel to Dubai. Sources in Hurriyat confirmed that Separatist leader was scheduled to attend a marriage function in Dubai. They also confirmed that Separatist leader's family has already reached Dubai a month ago. Many middle rung leaders in his faction have started raising questions over his Goa trip as Kashmir is going to observe the anniversaries of parliament attack convict Muhmmad Afzal Guru and Mohd Maqbool Bhat. They seemed to have conveyed the separatist leader to return as back as holidaying in Goa this time could hit his Image and future political ambitions. Interestingly, his faction of Hurriyat Conference has called for a shutdown on 9th of February and 11th of February to observe the anniversaries of Afzal Guru and Mohd Maqbool Bhat respectively. Pertinently, Hurriyat leader last year in these days tripped to Visakhapatnam and few other coastal areas of India. |
