State NCP chief hails Governor's decision to appoint advisors | | | Early Times Report jammu, Feb 6: State unit of Nationalistic Congress Party (NCP) under the chairmanship of state president NCP and Thakur Randhir Singh held its meeting and hailed the appointment of two advisors by N N Vohra Governor of J&K state namely Pervez Dewan, IAS and Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, IAS. Later talking to media persons state president NCP Singh said, "A fragile political atmosphere in the state emerged when PDP-BJP were shying to form the govt in the state and problems of common masses started aggravating in various sectors. Citing various examples of public welfare decisions during governor's rule, Singh said Governor N N Vohra with his advisors setting example of good administration reviewed the H1N1 scare across the state especially when the health scenario was in dismal. He however satirically commented that the former health minister was only appearing in posters while people all over the state were looking for better health care Singh also welcomed the appointment of new Judges in State Accountability Commission and asked the State Governor to provide full staff to the commission. Demanding to cut expenditure on security of special protected persons, Singh said the monthly expenditure on account of security of protected persons is more than 11 crores per month and suggested this could be utilized for welfare of the people like opening orphanage, widow pension and for welfare of disable people. Krishan Kumar Digra , G M Pal , Prof P D Shastri, Dr Liaquat Ali Magray, Col Amar Singh and others were also present in this meeting ,. |
