NMC welcomes Finance Minister’s announcement 2/8/2016 12:16:02 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 7 : President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC)Subash Shastri today welcomed the announcement of union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to provide additional 1.50 lakh crore rupees for implementing the recommendations of the 7th pay commission with effect from January 1 2016 in the year 2016-17 union budget which is to be presented in the coming budget session of parliament this month. Addressing a well attended meeting of the NMC activists here, Shastri said that now since the NDA government at the Centre has decided to go ahead with giving effect to pay commission implementation in respect of employees and pensioners of Central government, a similar provision of rupees five thousand crore to be provided to Jammu & Kashmir government so that state of Jammu & Kashmir achieves the honour to become the first state to implement the recommendations of the 7th pay commission in respect of its employees and pensioners along with Central Government employees and pensioners. He praised the direction to expedite regularizations of eligible daily rated workers, Shastri also appealed to governor to release pending emoluments in their favor. He also urged N.N.
