Vijaypur, Feb 7: Lambasting government for not extending PRC, the western Pakistani refugees today said that they are being treated as foreigners in their country, where we are residing since 1947. According to press release, a monthly meeting of Western Pakistani was convened at Swankha Morh under the leadership of Laba Ram Gandhi. Addressing the meeting Gandhi said that the western Pakistani rafugees were migrated during 1947 likewise other Rafugees from Chhamb, Bhimber and settled in Jammu and Kashmir and throughout India. "Interestingly that those who have been settled in other state of India have full fundamental rights of Indian Constitution and the J&K is also State of India and we have no right to castes their votes in Assembly Election. “We have been depriving off from the PRC right and we have been given treatment as foreigners", he said. He further said that those who have been born in the J&K, have fundamental right of citizenship of the J&K and the Central Govt. The State Govt. of J&K have promised with the Western Rafugees that the issues pertaining to PRC and benefits for permanent settlement like Rafugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971 will be given to the Western Pakistani. "About one year has been elapsed the Jammu And Kashmir Govt. has not given positive response but we have still hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall solve the their problem and in this context Laba Ram Gandhi", he said. |
