AoI deputation calls on GM DIC Udhampur, highlights issues | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Feb 8: A deputation of Association of Industries (AoI) Udhampur today met with General Manager DIC Udhampur Smt Neelam Khajuria under the leadership of Vice Chairman Pardeep Bakshi and apprised her with their issues and problems. The members present in the meeting discussed the various problems being faced by unit holder and especially discussed the prospects of Single window meeting which was held on 23/01/2016 at the DC office Udhampur. On speaking the occasion Sameer Malgoria said that district is a backward district from the industrial point of view. "The state government and industrial department has failed to provide basic infrastructure which is necessary for running a industrial unit, he said. "In Battal Ballian industrial area which is under SICOP department yet has not been duely developed, he said adding, "a road leading to area is in worst condition, maximum drains are blocked, lights are not properly functioning." "The repeated requested from association have been turned to deaf ears, he added. Speakers also complained that there is no ATM, dispensary, canteen etc. Speaking on the occasion Sr Vice President Raghubir Gandotra said that few years back government of J&K started single window system for those who are interested to start their new units in J&K to ease the system but this has become more complicated now as there is no specific time for single window meeting; the new unit has to wait for long time. He recalled that there were 14 cases of new industrial unit put into the meeting but unfortunately Superintended Engineer PDD Batote refuse to provide NOCs to all the cases. Meanwhile reiterating Corporate Social Responsibility, he said Ankush Sondhi said that association is going to start a plantation drive named Green Battal Ballian in the first week of the March 2016 to maintain balance in ecology of area. GM- DIC Neelam Khajuria assured the association to give full support to the unit holders and to raise their issues to concerned departments for early redressal. Among present in this interactive meeting were Melaram, Jitender Bagri, Nirdosh Sharma, Darshan Mehra, Sushil Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Shambu Sharma, Bipin Sharma, Vivek Gandotra and others. |
