| Police -Public meet held at Bhawan-Katra | | | Early Times Report
reasi, Feb 8: On the directions of Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi Sujit Kumar, IPS a police public meeting was held at Police Station Bhawan by Inspector Rajesh Sharma, SHO P/S Bhawan with an aim to strengthen the Police Public relations and to bring people nearer to the Police for better output in prevention, detection of crime and solve the problems of general public.
"Besides police officials the meeting was attended by shopkeepers, Dhaba Wallas and Pithus/Ponywallah, police spokesperson said.
At the outset of the meeting, the participants were welcomed by the chairing Police officer, appreciated the participants for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting.
Members of business community appreciated the work of District Police and assured their full support and participation in tackling any unlawful or untoward incident. "Various public issues and problems raised by the participants were discussed in the meeting pertaining to different departments, spokesperson said.
At the end of the meeting clear instructions have also been passed to the traders by the senior police officer that yatries may not be fleeced while purchasing consumable items or fright rates of Pithu/Ponywallas.
Further they have also requested to make aware the Police if they notice any suspicious person /unclaimed items in the area and help the District Police to maintain the purity and divinity/peaceful of holy shrine. |
