JAMMU, Feb 8 : The Gatka (men) team of the University of Jammu (JU) today left for participation in the Inter-University Gatka Tournament, organised by Punjabi University Patiala from tomorrow. It will be for the first time that JU is fielding its Gatka team in the inter-university competitions. The six-member team is comprised of Rupinder Singh, Ranmeet Singh, Yashpreet Singh, Hardeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Paranpreet Singh.
Amarjeet Singh and Harsimran are accompanying the team as a coach and manager respectively. Earlier, the team interacted with Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau on the campus and wished success in the upcoming meet. |
