Company violating DIC's norms, court apprised | Sexual harassment case in M/s Ultimate Flexi Pack | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 13: The much publicized sexual harassment case that surfaced in multinational company running in the name and style of M/s Ultimate Flexi Pack Ltd. SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana (Samba) on September 8, 2016, has exposed the working of the said multi- national company as the complainant apprised the court that the company, violating DIC's norms, transferred him somewhere in Delhi, besides violating court's directions. The aggrieved namely Sanjay Thusoo, who is also the Commercial Manager in U flex unit, apprised the court that he was debarred from entering his office despite of court's directions to let him attend his duties which came on 19 December 2016.Later he was transferred to Delhi without citing any reason in violation of DIC's norms that the local employee should not be transferred outside without any valid reason. The court of Munsif Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Samba has fixed the next date of hearing as on 19 April. Worthwhile to mention here that the alleged sexual harassment took place in the M/s Ultimate Flexi Pack Ltd. SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana (Samba) on September 8, 2016 when the lady employee of the company had lodged complaint of molestation in P/S Bari Brahmana against the Senior Manager of the company namely Tara Chand Saini following which a FIR No.143/2015 dated September, 8, 2015 under Section 294/293, 354/509 RPC was registered. But, ironically, instead of shunting the accused manager, the company debarred the entry of Sanjay Thusoo in his office on the ground that he had given the lift to the victim woman employee. Later, Sanjay knocked the door of court for justice. In the writ petition in the court of Munsif Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Samba, Sanjay said that he was being made scapegoat and penalized for no fault. He said the incident had proved night mare for him as company had shut door to him and even did not pay his salary and dues for the last six months. He said that after serving the company for years, he was thrown on road and left at the mercy of God. The incident took place with him when his family was facing financial crunch. |
