Gullible owner becomes victim of Police-land mafia nexus | Running pillar to post for years for justice | | Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 13: In order to shield a colleague in a case of alleged land grabbing, J&K police has been trashing court directions and making the legal owner of a piece of land in Gurah Brahmana area run from pillar to post for last six years. The victim Ravinder Kumar Shan, who had purchased a piece of land at Gurah-Bramana Jammu from Puran Chand son of Kuti Ram resident of Gurah-Bramana Jammu in year 1993, told Early Times that in 2010 he started to raise construction on the his land when Parshotam Lal, Rattan Lal Sharma, an employee of High Court Jammu, and Satish Kumar who is serving in J&K Police objected and got the work on his legitimate land stopped forcibly, threatening him of dire consequences. "I abandoned work after receiving threat from them and approached then Incharge Police Post Chinore for seeking help under law but the Incharge instead of taking action against the culprits started harassing me and next day, I filed a case in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu. The CJM had directed to Station House Officer (SHO) Domana for taking necessary action in this regard. "Astoundingly, after two or three days, when I went to my plot, the trio were using my construction material to raise construction on my plot and then incharge PP was also supporting them, "he alleged. He further said that as he objected, he was threatened by Parsotam Lal. On approaching PS Domana, I was told that my application was marked by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and was sent to PP Chinore for further investigation and action but nothing was done as then Incharge PP Chinore was also in hand in glove with the culprits. "Rather than helping me and abiding by directions of the court, then I/C Ajay Chib called me and said that I have been creating problems for the Police department as well as interfering in the land of trio for last 3 days", " he further asked me to leave my claim on my land" he added. "After seeing the nexus between police and trio, I visited office of senior officials of the Police as well as other concerned authorities viz.. Revenue Department and Deputy Commissioner, Settlement Officer and others for seeking help but everyone was least bothered to give justice to me. As a result, the trio grabbed my land and also raised construction on it", he narrated. When contacted, SHO Domana said he joined two months back and he didn't know about the case. Tehsildar North Jammu also brushed off the issue feigning ignorance. |
