The bunker has been removed after more than 22 years following massive protests. Later two more persons were killed in separate firing by security forces in the district on April 13 and 15. Authorities had imposed curfew on April 13 which was relaxed for some time yesterday before the restrictions were again imposed after massive protests by locals demanding removal of the bunker. However, today the curfew was relaxed from 0800 hrs for four hours and later the relaxation period was extended following improvement in the situation. The district administration dismantled the bunker after it was vacated by the Army today. Large number of local residents were cheering when the bunker was being removed. Shops and business establishments in the town remained closed and very less number of vehicles were on the roads. However, situation on the outskirts was normal.
