Guests face embarrassment at PM function | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 19: Many former bureaucrats and politicians had to face an embarrassing situation during the inauguration of super specialty hospital on Tuesday. The guests had been told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the hospital at 10.30 am and that they should be seated well before 10.15 am. Sources said most of the guests turned up at around 10.am. To their shock, the guests found that the inauguration had already taken place, at9.30 am. "We were taken aback," a former bureaucrat told Early Times. "It was tantamount to humiliating us." The guests were later directed to go the place where Prime Minister Modi had to address a rally. "On reaching the place, it became abundantly clear that the organisers had deliberately changed the timing of the function so that more and more people could be shifted to the rally venue. They wanted to increase the attendance of the PM's rally," another bureaucrat said. |
