Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 19: In Asaram's Bhagwati Nagar ashram case, additional sessions judge, Jammu, Rajesh Sekri today directed IGP, Jammu, to appear on April 21 next.
He also asked SIT incharge to arrest rest of the accused in the case as early as possible. On the last date of hearing, IGP was asked to appear in the court, but he had sought exemption in view of the prime minister's visit today.
According to the police case, one Vikrant Sharma of Bhagwati Nagar had submitted a written complaint before the duty magistrate, Jammu, stating therein that he was one of the devotees of Vinod Kumar Gupta alias Bhola Nand Bhola Nath who was incharge of Bapu Asaram's Bhagwati Nagar ashram in 2008-09. After Asaram's arrest in September 2013, Bhola contacted him on his mobile phone and sought his help for creating evidence against Asaram. When he came to know that Bhola was trying to implicate Asaram in a false case, he discussed the matter with one Narinder Singh and others and on their advise, started recording the telephonic conversation of Bhola.
Vikrant alleged that Bhola first asked him to give him telephone number of Prajapati and then told him to arrange some girls or ladies who could level false allegations against Asaram with the promise that identity of these girls would not be disclosed.
Bhola also asked him to help him in creating false evidence so that the family of Asaram was sent to jail. Bhola later appeared in a news channel and stated that there were dead bodies of children buried in the Bhagwati Nagar ashram of Asaram.
To prove his point, he allegedly asked Vikrant to arrange for skeltons from a Muslim graveyard and then bury them in the ashram.
Bhola also allegedly told him that nobody had yet paid money to him and media had also promised him money but had not yet paid. He also told Vikrant that he was playing a big game and promised that he would arrange girls for two three days from Mumbai after creating false evidence against Asaram. (JNF)
