Thrashing case: Local court awards 2 yrs imprisonment to accused | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 19: Districts Traffic Mobile Magistrate Manzoor Ahmed Khan today awarded imprisonment for two years under 304A and the fine of Rs 5000/ under MVA158 act who was facing trail in thrashing case. After hearing the CPO Shaien Ahmed Khan and Advocate Shokat Manhas appearing on behalf of accused, the court observed that accused Sajad Hussain Shah S/o Sarfraz Hussain Shah R/o Potha Surankot thrashed a man Makhan Din s/o Hasham Ali r/o village Seri Chowhana in 2008. "A case was registered against culprit in police station Mandi under FIR no. 35/2008 u/s 279/304/RPC, 158/177/MVA Act, the court was also informed. Later the court sent the accused to jail for the 6 months imprisonment under 279, two years under 304A while the fine of Rs 5000/ under MVA 158 and Rs 100 rupees has been fined. Manzoor Ahmed Khan ordered the accused shall face nine weeks imprisonment if the accused fails to pay fine. |
