Rajouri, Apr 19 : State Tuberculosis Officer (J&K), Dr Arvind Raina today inaugurated a Cartridge Based Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (CB NAAT) Machine at the District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC) Rajouri. Speaking on the occasion he said that the machine will diagnose Tuberculosis (TB) within two hours. He said that TB (Tuberculosis) is a curable disease, if diagnosed at the right time and by taking the right type of medicines. Dr Chaman Bhasin, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri said that the machine would be helpful for TB patients and HIV positive patients as well by using different cartridges. "It is vital instrument in the laboratory and must be dealt with proper care and by experienced Technicians. He told that presently there are 553 No of TB patients in the District, he said adding, "further timely detection shall be done by using this machine." Dr Bashir Khan District Tuberculosis Officer also spoke on occasion. Meanwhile Dr Arora Consultant in WHO impressed upon its proper use to diagnose the TB. Dr Anis Altaf Medical Superintendent, DH Rajouri, Dr Jameel-ul-Hassan, Physician DH Rajouri and Bilal Rashid Assistant Director, Planning, also spoke on this occasion Meanwhile Sahil Lone, Bashir Sheikh, Mohd Aslam, Atul Bali along with other officials also attended the Training programme. |
