DPK expresses concern over temple, shrine bill | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: Democratic Pannun Kashmir expressed surprise over the recent developments on Temple and Shrine Bill as reported in the daily newspapers. According to press release, the Hindu Dharam Sthan Raksha Manch has criticised the Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust for misleading the people in the name of Temple and Shrine bill, which is unfortunate. The Temple and Shrine Bill is for protecting and preserving the Hindu shrines and temples in the Kashmir valley and Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust is committed to it. Democratic Pannun Kashmir organized a meeting in this regard and has expressed displeasure the way the temple and shrine bill is being handled, Said the convenor, Ravinder Jalali. He said that the Bill was primarily aimed to preserve the sanctity and maintenance of these temples and also save from encroachment. The Hindu Dharam Sathan Raksha Manch spokesperson Shashi Kahjuria has expressed fears that the temple and Shrine bill as demanded by Kashmiri Pandits through Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust amounts to handing over the Hindu temples in Valley to Muslim Majority Government and termed it as fraud which is unfortunate. |
