MPEJ urges Edu Minister to listen grievances of private schools | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: Members of Movement for Peace Equality & Justice today urged upon Education Minister to listen the grievance of owners of private schools. According to press release, in a joint statement issued by Kuldeep Kumar Rao and Ram Singh Chauhan said that on one hand lauded the efforts of minister concerned in streamlining the derailed system of education while on the other hand they have strongly assailed the double standard of monitoring, inspecting and issuing extension to the recognition/affiliation of private schools as a result great harassment was being perpetrated on them with every passing week or month. Both the activists said that private schools are helping Government in imparting quality education to the younger generation on one hand and providing employment to the educated un-employed on the other hand and in the consequence, government instead of encouraging private schools, are inflicting injuries upon them in the form of taxing the poor students like Municipal council/committee tax, Labour department tax, Provident fund tax, Inspection tax of various departments etc. |
