HRW raises issue of water crisis | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: The State Chairman J&K Human Rights Watch (HRW), BL Kapoor has said that the general public has been facing hardship because of non availability of drinking water for the last one week especially when there is extremely hot in the Jammu division, it has been revealed that PHE workers are on strike & they adamant not to restore water supply to the public because of their demands are not fulfilled by the Government. Kapoor further said that the matter pertains to government the general public has no concern for which they are being victimized and made to suffer by way of depriving them for even drinking water. The most essential and urgent services such as supply of power, drinking water, ration and security cannot be stopped at any cost. The necessary action should be taken by the government in this regard. Non providing of most essential amenities such as water & power supply is clear cut sign of carelessness and non heeding towards people's interest and need which is a matter of highest concern & people have lost the confidence over the authorities due to such circumstances. |
