PNBMT demands Shrine Bill | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNVMT) has made it clear that the enactment of the Temples and Shrines Bill is the universal demand of the community. According to press release, this was stated by the chief spokesperson of the PNBMT at the conclusion of the meeting of the general body, spearheading the struggle for the passage of the Shrines Bill to protect the Hindu shrines and temples in the valley, held at Badshah Kalandar Ashram, Patoli, Jammu. Speakers at the general body meeting made it clear that the struggle for the enactment of the Shrine Bill was not directed against any individual or trust operating in the valley but the unequivocal demand of the community which was perturbed at the temple heritage of Kashmir which is as much under attack of the vested interests, land mafia and inclement conditions like neglect. The general body of the trust is not confined to any particular area or organization but is comprised of representatives from all over Kashmir and includes intellectuals of the community, social and religious activists and various organizations. |
