Early Times Report
Jammu, July 9: The employees appointed under Prime Minister's Employment Package (PMEP) in valley strongly condemned the repeated incidents of stone pelting at migrant transit camp Hall, Pulwama and urged the centre and state government to ensure safety of all Kashmiri Pandits working across valley.
In an emergency meeting held here today, the employees said that despite their repeated requests to successive governments to provide adequate security to Pandit and other employees working in valley but unfortunately no heed was paid to them and with the result they come under frequent attacks of stone pelters and anti social elements. They warned that if no measures were taken in this regards they would be forced to quit their jobs, adding that they can't live under constant fear since their life under such circumstances has virtually turned hell. Vociferously condemning night long stone throwing at Hall migrant transit camp which has not only damaged vehicles and residential quarters of employees but also made their lives vulnerable, the aggrieved employees demanded immediate evacuation of Hall employees to Jammu since their family members are worried after lost communication with their children.
Further, the meeting expressed concern over the short of essential commodities and medicines in the camp due to which women and children are facing worst kind of situation. Those attended the meeting included Rakesh Pandita, Vimal Raina, Rubon Saproo, Rakesh Fotedar, Rakesk Koul, Deepak Kanna, Raj Raina, Surinder Raina, Vijay Pandit , Vimal Pandita and others.
