Dogra Sadar Sabha moves resolution containing major demands

Jammu, July 9: Dogra Sadar Sabha convened one day convention under the Chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak former minister and president Dogra Sadar Sabhato delebrate upon various issues being faced by the people of Jammu region in general and by the people of Bishnah and Arnia in particular.
Besides large number of sabha delegates and the members of the executive body, the convention was attended by sarpanches, panches, namberdars, chowkidars ex-servicemen, representatives of border area and other prominent citizens representing different social, religious and political organizations.
Various speakers spoke on the occasion and high-lighted the problems being faced by the people of the area in particular and by the people of the region in general.
Concluding the proceedings of convention Gulchain Singh Charak, president DSS moved the resolutions which were passed in the convention with one voice and it was resolved that Sabha would strive hard for taking these issues to their logical conclusion.
Providing of infrastructure facilities to Degree College Bishnah, which is in shambles and establishment of a Degree college in Arnia border area, urgent improvement of border and other important roads which are in a dilapidated condition, further enhancement of remuneration of Numberdars and Chowkidars and to empower them in their respective areas, de-silting of canals of the area in order to supply sufficient irrigation water to the tail end of the canals.
Besides stoppage of un-scheduled cuts in the electricity, improvement in medical facilities in the area in general and providing sufficient Doctors/Medicines in SDH Bishnah in particular.
Sabha also condemned the anti national activities being carried out by the anti-social elements in the state, which are detrimental to the sovereignty and security of the country.
It was also demanded that Sanik colony be established in Kashmir region like Jammu for the Ex-servicemen of J&K.
Prominent among other who spoke on the occasion were Gen. G. S Jamwal, Dr. N. K. Dogra, Col. Karan Singh Jamwal (Retd.), Sh. Janak Khajuria, Sh. Sudhir Singh Jamwal,Sh. Prem Sagar Gupta, Sh. G. A Khawaja, , Sh.Ravi Singh Slathia , S. Kulbir Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Sh. Madan Lal Bhagat, Dr. O.P Saini, Dr. Raghbir Singh Charak, Sub. Rattan Lal, Sh. Yogesh Sharma, Sh. Baldev Raj, Dr. Gurdass Ram Bhagat, S. Mehar Singh, Sh. Janak Raj and Sh. Harshvardhan Sharma.
