| NCP castigates Omar Abdullah's statements over Kashmir | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 9: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Saturday criticized former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's statements over Kashmir issue and termed it as immature, irresponsible and adding fuel to the fire.
According to press note, "The former CM does not behave like a former Chief Minister of State that too, in a sensitive state which need peace, tranquility and all around development, said Vice president, Krishan Kumar Digra during the meeting held today in Jammu. R S Billowaria, Chief spokesman N challenged Omar Abdullah today's statement wherein he has condemned the Mufti's government for amending the Panchayati Raj Act where the Sarpanch is elected by the members and not thrust upon them which is a real democracy.
It is unfortunate that Omar Abdullah has forgotten the history and claimed that Shiekh Abdullah was the first Chief minister who introduced Panchayati Raj in the State but actually the Maharaja Hari Singh was the first ruler who introduced Panchayati Raj Act, said Billowaria. |
