| Training capsule in food & beverages for youth held | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 9: To make self sufficient and to save the unemployed youth from the clutches of anti-national & anti-social elements, Indian Army conducted a four week long training capsule in Food & Beverage for the 35 youth of the district under 'Hunar se Razgar Tak' scheme
In the past many youth had fell prey to these elements but the activities and projects carried out by the Indian Army under 'Operation Sadbhavna' for the benefits of the unemployed youth have almost uprooted the militancy from these border districts.
In one such endeavor Ace of Spades Division, in collaboration with Food Craft Institute , department of Tourism, Government of J&K, has conducted a four week Food & Beverage Course at Advance Landing Ground (ALG) at Rajouri which concluded today.
"In order to promote skill development amongst the locals, especially the youth of the region, the Ace of Spades Division conducted Food and Beverage Course under 'Hunar Se Rozgar Scheme', which concluded today" said a senior army officer.
According to the officer, 35 youths from Rajouri were imparted the Food and Beverage Course training. Completion of the course were provided with certificates, training kit including dress, bag, books from food craft Institute and a stipend of Rs 1500 each were given to the candidates.
"Suitable employment opportunities will also be provided to the promising and interested candidates at Jammu, for placement in renowned and well established chain of hotels and restaurants in India" said Commanding Officer of the unit involved in the training. |
