Early Times Report

Jammu, July 9: Prof. Bhim Singh, the Founder of National Panthers Party expressed deep shock on the misuse of the electronic media in India to give full publicity to the undesirable, unwanted and hateful comments from the representatives of political parties during video conversation. Prof. Bhim Singh expressed surprise that the Union Law Ministry as well as the Union Home Ministry has been keeping silence on the highly provocative and hateful comments of political leaders being interviewed by the TV Channels in open public discussions and debates. Prof. Bhim said that the freedom of speech is wonderful and every citizen has right to express himself provided he disciplines himself within the scope and meaning of Article 19(6) of the Constitution of India, which authorizes the State to impose reasonable restrictions on the right to freedom of speech and expression in the interest of maintaining public order, descency or morality etc. The Television networks need an appropriate watch so that they don't become the voices of the voices and help create social disorder through their undesirable, anti-social and provocative comments. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the TV discussion organized by national channels deserve a careful watch so that the enemies of peace and saboteurs of harmony and goodwill shall not help generate a hatred among the citizens of this country under any pretext. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the private video channels need to be disciplined in the light of the guidance and restrictions imposed by Article 19 itself which grants the freedom of speech and expression.
