Vickrant creates world's largest colouring book | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10 : Vickrant Mahajan has created yet another Guinness World Record, the largest colouring book in the world. This weekend at the Wave Mall in Jammu, the ace motivator displayed a colouring book called 'Yes Thank You Universe': The Colours of Gratitude. It measures 125 sq ft (11.61 sq mtr). It is 5 ft long and 50 ft wide when opened and betters the previous world record of 107.63 sq ft (10 sq mtr) which was achieved by Wydawnictwo Zielona Sowa at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, on 24 May 2014. It was specially commissioned by Model Academy and handcrafted by Vickrant and his father SK Gupta at their studio in Jammu. It is 200 times bigger than a regular colouring book. Speaking on this occasion, Adit Gupta, joint director of MIER said: "I believe motivation is the key aspect of a beautiful life, and what better way to demonstrate it than a Guinness World Record." Ranjeet Randhawa of Wave Mall said: "We actively encourage art and craft, and this historic colouring book is a step forward in that direction." The special paper for the book was provided by Khanna Paper Mill in Amritsar. Gagandeep Juneja said: "This is the first time in the history of our mill that we have produced commercial paper of this size." This is Vickrant's 15th Guinness World Record in 2016, and he intends to create 85 more records in the next 6 months. |
