Early Times Report

JAMMU, July 10:Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today expressed concern on the deteriorating condition in the Kashmir Valley. Talking to his party activists at New Delhi, KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said that it is unfortunate that during the present dispensation the anti -national elements have spread their tentacles in Valley and other parts of the State.
"Increased human losses especially of security force personnel are taking place for the last couple of months. A new strategy by the terrorists is to attack the forces and then merge in the public just to provoke security forces for retaliatory action and thereby branding them (security forces) as anti public," he said adding that people on the contrary are shielding them making the job of security forces more difficult.
However, Kundan Kashmiri KPC Chief appreciated the action of security forces in killing the dreaded militant Burhan Wani in Kukernag yesterday but expressed anguish that dedication of valor soldiers is being destroyed by the effective support of certain section of political bosses in one way or the other. "Whether it is the previous dispensations or the incumbent, they are busy in tit for tat for the sake of attaining power, neglecting the actual state of affairs in the trouble ridden Jammu and Kashmir", he said and warned the state and the central governments to contain the deteriorating situation in the Valley otherwise things will soon become out control.
Speaking on amnesty to stone pelters, he said that it is quite unfortunate that government has facilitated those who have vitiated the situation to a large extent.
KPC chief also appealed the community in general and the youth in particular to maintain calm and remain vigilant against the divisive elements who are hell bent to create confusion.
We have asked the authorities to take all the measures necessary for the welfare, protection and well being of our community brethren in Kashmir. He said Government will be solely responsible for any sort of harm meted to them.
Other KPC leaders who also expressed similar views were M.L.Raina, Tej Pandita, M.N.Raina, H.L.Saraf, Shuseel Ji Bhat, Rinku Razdan, R.l.Raina and Surender.
