Ensure safety of Amaranth yatris: MLC Jugal Kishore 7/10/2016 10:32:40 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, July 10: Demanding fool proof security for stranded Amaranth pilgrims who have either performed the pilgrimage or on their way to the holy cave shrine, the Congress Legislature Party Leader in State Legislative Council MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma said that violent protests in the wake of killing of top Hizbul Mujaheedin commander have put lives of thousands of Amarnath yatris at grave risk. In a press statement issued here today, MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma said that government must take precautionary steps to avoid any untoward incident and at the same time it should also ensure that the pilgrims, who were stuck in the higher reaches enroute holy cave shrine, are escorted out to safer places. Sharma further said that it is unfortunate that the state government acted like a mute spectator when the violence escalated in several parts of Kashmir Valley which resulted in chaos adding that it has completely failed in maintaining law and order situation on ground.
