NGEUJU not ready to budge, token strike to continue | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 10: Reiterating their stand of conceding to their demands, the Non-Gazetted Employees Union (NGEU) of Jammu University (JU) said that the ongoing token strike of NGEU would not be withdrawn till all its demands are not acceded by the University authorities. Addressing a press conference here today, the NGEU president Vijay Kumar and NGEU general secretary Banarsi Lal alleged that the contents of notice issued in a section of print media by the University authorities is nothing but a bunch of lies. The NGEU leaders said that the in the notice it was mentioned that the Human Genetic was a project and it got terminated when its term exhausted adding that it is untrue as it was not a project but it was upgraded and converted to Genetic Centre vide Govt Order No 118 ST of 1998, dated 09-03-1998. They further said that the matter of removing pay grade of Rs 2750 has already been decided and an order to this effect was issued by University Council but it was not implemented till date adding that in the last meeting of the Task Force held on March 12, 2015 the University authorities had assured that all demands will be mitigated within 45 days but even after the passage of more than a year not a single issue has been resolved. Cautioning the University authorities, the NGEU office bearers said that they would continue their agitation till all their demands are fulfilled and in the event of any loss the responsibility lies with the administration. |
