| Mahajan Sabha holds meet, constitutes election committee | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10: A Working Committee meeting of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) was held today under the chairmanship of Vinod Gupta, sitting President Mahajan Sabha at Mahajan Hall Jammu in which members announced five members committee to ensure smooth and fair polls.
During the proceedings of meeting the president Vinod Gupta apprised the members of various developments and minutes of last working committee meeting held on this June 26, were unanimously endorsed. It was informed that a meeting of elders/prominent Mahajans held on July 3, announced a five member committee comprising Yashpal Gupta, I C Jandial, Ratan Lal Gupta and O P Gupta to ensure free and fair polls of Sabha.
The committee was mandated to obtain the withdrawal letters from all the candidates including Vinod Gupta sitting president but the committee till date has not received any voluntary withdrawal from any of executive members.
The members were also informed as per requirement of constitution, name of Surinder Mohan Gupta was proposed and approved as Election Commission by working committee to conduct elections scheduled on September 25.
Manohar Lal Gupta advocate and Ex-President, Shiv Partap Gupta, Prem Gupta I G (Retd) S K Gupta & O P Gupta Chief Engg. (Retd) Ratan Hindu, Raghubir Gupta, Surinder Mohan Gupta, Ram Rattan Gupta, Krishan Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Dr Madan Gopal Gupta and others were present in this meeting. |
