| CEO municipality held guilty for Poonch negligence | | | Early times report
Poonch, July 22: The condition of town Poonch is dilapidated due to negligence of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) municipality Poonch as alleged by the people of the area .
According to a report, the condition of main bus stand Poonch, Qilla Market and Main bazaar is too worst, sources said the water from the congested drains came out to bus stand and market which is the main cause of much annoyance to the masses and shopkeepers.
Locals alleged that the concerned officer have embezzled crore of rupees in the name of development.
A local Mushtaq Ahmad while speaking to Early Times said, the Budha Amarnath Yatra is going on and many of our yatri guests come to Poonch and they feel disappointed here.
He demanded an inquiry into the matter. Yatri namely Rajiv Sharma, Rana Partap of Delhi and Sonu Sharma of Delhi said that they have visited Poonch where they found natural beauty, but were disappointed due to the performance of administration.
They said the condition of municipality area of Poonch is much cluttered and appealed the state government to maintain the beauty of Poonch.
In this regard while our reporter talked to CEO municipality Irshad Sufi he said, " there is shortage of funds in department. Public too is not cooperating with the department as they are using drains in the form of dustbin. He appealed the common masses of Poonch town to cooperate with the department.
