Amid unrest Govt orders shifting of DIG South Kashmir, SSP Anantnag | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 22: The state government today transferred DIG South Kashmir and SSP Anantnag amid ongoing unrest in the valley. Official sources said that DIG South Kashmir Nitish Kumar has been replaced by DIG Central Kashmir Ghulam Hassan Bhat and SSP Anantnag Abdul Jabbar has been replaced by SSP Traffic Rural Zubair Ahmad. It has been learnt that these police chiefs will take charge with immediate effect. The sources said Nitish Kumar will go for official training and Viplav Kumar has been given additional charge of Central Kashmir range. Sources said that these changes have been ordered in view of the ongoing unrest that erupted in Anantnag district after killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Wani in Kokernag. Sources said that SSP Anantnag has been shifted for mishandling the situation in Anantnag District. |
