Srinagar, Jul 22 A 65-year-old yatri from Rajasthan died due to cardiac during the pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas. A yatra official told UNI that a yatri identified as Giridhar Gopal, son of Ram Narayan Gopal, resident of Rajasthan, suffered a massive cardiac arrest at Zojibal. However, he was immediately rushed to nearby medical camp where he was declared brought dead. The body has been brought to Nunwan Pahalgam base camp, he said. With this a total of 15 pilgrims from different parts of the country have died due to health reasons while one was killed in a road accident. A CRPF jawan and two sevadars besides a local driver have also died since the commencement of the 48-day-long pilgrimage from July 2 from both tradcks. |
