| Burglars stole bikes in front of Police Station | | | Rajesh Tendon

Poonch, July 22: in a bizarre case, burglars stole a bike from a house situated at stones' throw from Police Station Poonch.
According to reports, one Reyaz Ahmed resident of W- 2 lodged complaint with Police Station Poonch stating therein his fresh bike was stolen by somebody. According to complainant Reyaz got his bike stolen after he had parked infront of his house situated in close vicinity of Police Station Poonch. "However when he alongwith family friends searched the vehicle, the complainant stated , adding< " they found bike some 200 meters away from where he had parked it. " Reyaz added that the thieves have stolen many costly parts of the bike and later abandoned the vehicle. Locals have left shocked over incident and raised fingers of suspicion towards tall claims of police about its alertness as thieves have stolen a bike from infront of a house which is very near to police station.
They questioned how people in remote areas can feel secure when people in city are left on mercy of the God? Mohd Aslam and Gulfaz Ahmed of Poonch town also alleged if police have failed to bike lifters that too in front P/S Poonch how they can expect people to exude faith in police. They further have appealed to DIG -Rajouri Poonch to probe the matter. |
