7/22/2016 11:30:19 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, July 22: A protest was organized by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in front of Chief Engineer (Elecricity) office here today over frequent power cuts.
According to press release, several villages including Dei Chak, Bhagatpur, Shahpur, Chalaldin, Kukraan, Gho Manhasa are facing acute power crises since many days and the department concerned seems unbothered about it.
They were chanting slogans against the PDD department and reveals that owing to non availability of proper power supply, they are unable to irrigate their farming field as pumps need electricity which is not available in this rural belt. Electricity department has failed to meet the demands of these villagers.
"However, AAP has already raised this issue with concerned departments but no to avail amd owing to lackadaisical approach of the department concerned the AAP and local viilagers were forced to protest against the department" said Rakesh Lakhotra.
