AMEAK protest enters 15th day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: Hundreds of employees under the banner of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) continued their protest on the fifteenth day here at Relief Commissioner's office in support of their demands. The employees have also displayed photo exhibition depicting damage to their residential quarters, vehicles and other property due to stone-pelting. Launching a scathing attack on both state and centre government of its harsh attitude towards the employees after they have left valley in wake of mob violence, the protesting employees including women have criticized the governments of being non-serious and weak in addressing issues of employees. Amid loud sloganeering of these employees throughout the day were also seen appealing centre for its immediate intervention in the matter to provide them some sort of relief. The body of employees has further made it clear that their struggle is not against any community or religion but for their survival and existence, which should be addressed by the government. The employees were demanding their adjustment in migrant cells of various departments of Jammu after anti-social elements attacked their colonies at many places during the violence. |
