Rajouri, July 28: People of Khanna, a hamlet in Nohoti area of Sunderbani here, are without electricity for the past over a fortnight. The hamlet houses nearly 15 families. Official sources said the people were without electricity for the past over a fortnight when the village transfer had developed a fault. It was yet to be repaired by the power development department, sources alleged. Sources said while the poor Khanna residents were left in the darkness, PDD had further sanctioned the load capacity for 150 ACs in Sunderbani town which had a total of nearly 630 ACs. Apart from them, some were alleged to have taken illegal connections of ACs and commercial units in the town. When contacted, PDD Superintendent Engineer, Rajouri, assured an action against them. |
