Fresh clashes in DH Pora, dozens sustain Injuries | | | Early Times Report Anantnag, Aug 3: As many as thirty civilians sustained injuries after forces used tear smoke shells and pellet guns to quell the protesters marching towards Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district on Wednesday. Reports said that thousands of people including men, women and children started marching towards Damhal Hanjipora to pay tributes to civilian killed by forces recently. They said that on reaching Adejan village bridge, forces intrrcepted them "Once forces stopped people and tried to break up the rally, violent clashes broke out between youth and security forces," they added. Reports said that forces fired tear smoke shells and pellets to break up the rally. Around thirty civilians have sustained injuries among which four were shifted to Anantnag District Hospital for treatment. 20 were shifted to Kulgam District Hospital Kulgam and six to DH Pora Hospital for treatment, according to Health Department Sources. Identity of the injured couldn't be ascertained. Meanwhile, People held anti-India rallies in Bijbehara, Katsoo Pahalgam, Arwani Bijbehara, Kudwani Kulgam and raised anti-India slogans. |
