JAMMU, Aug 3: A police Inspector has managed his transfer back to Jammu zone with the help of his brother, who is posted at PHQ, within a few months of posting in another wing of police in Jammu district.
Police sources said though the Inspector's name was not there in the transfer list, his brother managed to include his name in it against the wishes of a 'senior' officer.
He was transferred from Jammu zone some time back and posted in another police wing in Jammu district, but with the help of his brother, he had managed his transfer back to Jammu region, sources said.
"Even as he has remained SHO of many police stations here, he has again activated all his resources to get posted as SHO of any police station in Jammu," the sources added.
According to the police transfer policy, an officer, when posted in any police wing, has to spend at least three years in that particular wing, but he managed his transfer within a few months of his posting in the wing. "This is against the norms," sources claimed.
While he got posted in Jammu region, many other deserving Inspectors were ignored, sources said. |
