Drug peddler, his two accomplice held with 29600 intoxicants | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 3: Police today claimed to have alleged drug peddler and his two associates alongwith a huge haul of intoxicants numbering to 2600 which was recovered from their possession during naka at Mishriwala under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachack. "At about 1400 hrs, police party of Kanachak Police Station under the supervision of Inspector Rajesh Sharma laid a naka and during naka checking at Mishriwala intercepted a Wagnor car bearing temporary registration no JMU/BF 9457 on its way from Jammu towards Mishriwala, police said. "On seeing the naka party, the driver of the said vehicle tried to escape from the spot but the naka party chased the vehicle and overpowered him", said spokesman. He said, "During search of the vehicle, police party recovered 2300 intoxicant capsules (SPMPRXT) and 300 Nitrabet tablets from the possession of occupants of vehicle identified namely as Subash Singh (driver) son of Baj Singh of Purkhoo and his associates namely Rajiv Singh alias Sonu son of Karam Singh and Surinder Singh son of Balwant Singh residents of Mishriwala." Police has registered a case under FIR No. 102/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act. Further investigation of the case is going on |
