JMF criticizes Jammu administration | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 11: Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) criticized the civil administration for not ignoring the poor condition of Government Middle School in Khanpur due to heavy rain lashed recently. As per a press statement, a delegation of Jammu Muslim Front went to Khanpur and interacted with the locals as well as with the school teachers who have been facing problem due to flash flood in the Government School. Quoting locals, the delegation said that they were told about the 'bias' approach of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh who allegedly did not listen to the grievances of the people instead, warned them of dire consequences. The JMF delegation expressed their surprise over the attitude of the Deputy Commissioner who is heading civil administration in Jammu and expressed hope that "The DC will deal with the situation without any bias and do the needful to mitigate the problem. There was resentment among the people in Khanpur against DC." They said that with such a 'mindset' how we can expect justice for the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste students who have been studying in the Government school which has been facing problem due to inclement weather conditions. "Silt, stones and debris enter the school premises and fill even in the class room. The administration only clearing the debris which enters the school with every rainfall and then, they remove it instead of doing a permanent solution," said JMF. They expressed concern and said whether administration waiting for mishappening in the school due to debris or it will take appropriate decision to re-locate the school to other safer location. |
