Students of GDC Bhaderwah stage protest against JU 8/11/2016 9:58:55 PM Early Times Report bhaderwah, Aug 11: Hundreds of students Government Degree College Bhaderwah today staged protest demonstration against the Jammu University Nodal Principal, GGM Science College, Jammu for issuing circular of not giving regular admission to under graduate students of Chenab valley who have cleared first year backlog in 2016. The students alleged that even medical students have been asked to complete their studies through the distance mode of education. They warned JU administration to either merge them in semester system or face consequences. Shabnam Metha, student alleged that Jammu University is discriminating with students of Bhaderwah college even one chance was provided to other college students last year. "The impathetic attitude of the Jammu University administration is against the students' community and we will not tolerate it," she added. "We are not in a position to take admission in other private colleges outside state. All our hopes have been dashed and our future is in stake now. We demand admissions as regular student in 2nd year as it were closed due to unknown reasons, said Rukhya Sheikh , another medical stream student. Demanding to change the eligibility of admission in 3rd semester for UG courses, Abrar Hussain a student demanded to immediate changes the criteria which are causing mental stress for students having backlogs and added that students are always been tortured by such policies of Jammu university which are framed without consulting with students.
